Writing topic for chapters 2 & 3

Chapter 2 & 3 from Rules for Writers focuses on drafting and revising. Drafting is basically brain storming. Putting all your ideas together on how to hook the reader, by having a good introduction and thesis. The introduction focuses on the main points you're going to talk about in your paper. You want to make sure that your paper is interesting to keep the reader curious wanting to know more so they can continue reading. After drafting your writing its important to revised it to check for any typos, grammar, punctuation, and mechanics. Often time its good to proof read your paper out loud or have someone else proof read it because they might find an error that you might not caught.
I find it very useful to gather as much information on your topic before putting it in writing. When I start writing I tend to find myself pausing/stopping frequently due to not knowing what else to write or where I should start. Also, it makes your writing more organized then you would know exactly what you're going to talk about next. I like proof reading my draft out loud so then I can hear it to see if it make sense, another think I like to do is have someone else read it because it might make sense to me, but not to the readers and they can give me some good feed backs.
